There are over 50 artists who will be taking part, whose products you may like to buy as a gift or even a treat for yourself.

There will be paintings, jewellery, needlework, ceramics, glass ornaments, and more to buy.

Live music playing on pavements, singers belting out upbeat Spanish songs, and creatives reciting poetry will all add to the sense of celebration.

One of the creative activities that sounds intriguing is yarn bombing, a form of temporary street art.

It involves covering an item with knitted or crocheted yarn.

Organisers are aiming to decorate trees in one of the streets in order to ‘create a buzz and inject some colour’ into the neighbourhood for the weekend.

All this shopping and immersing yourself in cultural activity can be thirsty work.

Fear not as you can grab a bite to eat and sip coffee from several pop up cafés including Broadway Church and PointSix Coffee House.

You could also sink a pint at The Creaky Floorboard micro pub which specialises in real ales, wines and spirits.

According to Met Office, the weather in Derby is expected to be around 17°C which sounds perfect to stroll the streets of Derby, exploring the work of artists and being part of a vibrant community in the process.

Venues will open from 10am till 5pm.

Location: The Six Streets area is located between Kedleston Road and Duffield Road, Derby DE22: Kedleston Road, White Street, Statham Street, Wheeldon Avenue, Bromley Street, Sherwin Street, Longford Street, Broadway, and West Bank Close.
