Heights Of Abraham's new Winter Lights Trail will feature a pretty moonlit gondola ride
It might be June, but we’re already starting to think about Christmas.
And so are Derbyshire businesses, because one of the county’s top tourist attractions has just revealed some epic festive plans.

Hide AdThe Heights of Abraham is hosting a magical new light trail this autumn/ winter featuring a festoon-lit riverside walkway.
Visitors can then board a moonlit gondola for a stunning aerial view of vibrant colours.
The trail will run from November 22 till December 30, 2024.
It’s not for a few months’ yet, but with the year flying by, it will be November before you know it.
Once at the summit, you can enjoy a magical trail through illuminated gardens, boardwalks and woodland paths.
Delightful scenes include herons, a fairy gathering, and an enchanted forest, with colourful surprises around every corner.

Hide AdRefreshments are available at the Vista Bar, Treetops Cafe, and Snap Tin catering unit.
The trail is open from 4.30pm to 9.30pm (last entry at 8:30pm), excluding Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day.
The evening session lends itself well to the light feature, which is best enjoyed on a dark evening.
However, you could make a day of it at the park, rated by Tripadvisor as the second most popular activity in Matlock Bath.
People are already getting excited about the event.
