Derby County fans will be feeling the excitement as their side look to confirm their promotion back to the Championship.
The Rams’ final game comes on Saturday against Carlisle United at Pride Park, kicking off at 12.30pm
That means there is just about time for a pre-match trip to one of the many home fan pubs in Derby which will all be packed before Saturday’s game.
Here are a selection of five pubs in Derby that would be perfect to visit before heading to Pride Park to watch the Rams.
1. Brunswick Inn Derby
The Brunswick is one of the definitive home fans pubs in Derby. Right near the train station, it is in the perfect location if you're travelling to the match. The Brunswick also boasts its own Brewery which has produced a wide selection of award winning real ales.
2. The Neptune Derby
The Neptune is more of a city centre pub, but it prides itself on being all about Derby County. It calls itself the 'Home of DCFC fans' with it's Rams memoribilia and posters all around the pub. It also has a very wide selection of beers and drinks. A 36 minute walk to Pride Park is a bit longer, but it is still a hotspot for a pre-match pint.
3. The Waterfall
The Waterfall couldn't be in a better location as it is opposite the train station. A big open home fans pub which has not only a large drinks selection, but a number of pool tables in it's own separate room if you fancy a game before the match. Just a 25 minute walk from Pride Park along the river.
4. The Alexandra Hotel
The Alexandra Hotel is located right next to the Brunswick and it is all themed around the nearby railway. Inside it has a collection of railway signs and items which give it a unique feel. A large beer garden is also ideal for a pre-match drink when the home fans all begin to gather close to Pride Park.
