What’s on at Derby Theatre in 2023 - including Tin Man and The Little Mermaid

Tin Man

Tuesday 2 May - 6pm - Tickets start at £10

This new retelling of the classic story of The Wizard of Oz is seen through the eyes of the Tin Man as he journeys to find his heart.

Tin Man is a dance production which is suitable for families and children aged 7+ and explores the story of the much loved characters.

The performance is entertaining for both children and adults and is accompanied by newly commissioned music composed by Anna Appleby.

The Little Mermaid

Tuesday 16 May - Saturday 20 May - 7:30pm - Tickets start at £20

The Little Mermaid is based on the beloved story by Hans Christian Andersen featuring mermaid Ariel, Flounder the fish, Sebastian the crab and Prince Eric.

Music comes from eight-time Academy Award winner Alan Menken and features classic songs such as Under the Sea, Kiss the Girl and Part of Your World.

The Little Mermaid follows Ariel who falls in love with Prince Eric in the human world and trades her tail for legs, but not everything is as it seems.

RUSH: A Joyous Jamaican Journey

RUSH: A Joyous Jamaican Journey is a narrated musical as they tell the story of Reggae music.

The show shares the story of the Windrush Generation and how Reggae music took the world by storm.

RUSH: A Joyous Jamaican Journey features a host of music including Desmond Dekker, Jimmy Cliff, Bob Marley, Millie Small and many more.

Dinosaur Adventure Live

Join the intrepid rangers in Dinosaur Adventure Live as they go on a quest to recover the data crystal to restore power to the island and save the dinosaurs.

The rangers will introduce you to some of the most incredible dinosaurs to have ever walked the planet in an experience for all ages.

The Verdict

The Verdict is a bestselling courtroom thriller that inspired the multi Academy Award-nominated film that starred Paul Newman.

Follow Frank Galvin, a washed up veteran lawyer and alcoholic that is given one last chance to redeem himself.

After being given a medical malpractice case, he smells a cover up and takes the entire legal system to court.

The Mousetrap

The Mousetrap is the world’s longest-running play and genre-defining murder mystery from Agatha Christie.

As news begins to spread of a murder in London, seven strangers find themselves snowed in at a stately guesthouse.

A police sergeant arrives and to the horror of the guests, they discover that the murderer is in their midst.
