A Staffordshire estate, just a short drive from Derby, is giving families the chance to get up close and personal with 140 monkeys for a ‘once in a lifetime experience’.
The Winter Walk with Monkeys will allow visitors to venture deep into the heart of Trentham Monkey Forest, which is ordinarily closed during the winter months.
Situated on the 750-acre Trentham Estate, the site is around a 50-minute car drive from Derby city centre.

The estate says the walk is a ‘once in a lifetime’ experience for monkey lovers, who will encounter 140 Barbary macaques, a species native to Tunisia, Morocco, and the Atlas Mountains of Algeria.
The tour is conducted in groups of 10. And adventurers are reminded to bring their walking boots (or wellies if you prefer), because it can get muddy!
