Many of us will be familiar with the story of The Titanic after it was immortalised on the big screen by Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio (and Celine Dion)
Now a Derby hotel is paying homage to the 1912 ocean liner by hosting a Titanic-themed dinner in spring.

People are invited to step aboard the boat on its maiden voyage.
It will be a dining, and theatrical experience that weaves survivors' memories and biographies with the ship’s entertainment.
Eat food served on the Titanic
The original menu has been recreated, so people can eat similar dishes that were served on board in 1912.
Dishes from the menu include canapés, chicken Lyonnaise (sautéed breast meat traditionally in a white wine, onion, and garlic sauce), asparagus salad with Champagne dressing, plum pudding, and Punch Romaine cocktail (a rum-Champagne spritz).
The Titanic evening is part of a series of events hosted by the hotel.
