The wonderfully wacky Monster Trail to enjoy this weekend less than 30 minutes away from Derby

Grab a map and go on the hunt for monsters where you may spot Slime Minister and Google Glimpsers dotted around the city of Leicester

With half-term peeking around the corner, you may start to think how you can keep the little ones entertained.

A monster trail launch will be sure to liven things up for children and adults alike, as a playful posse of giant glowing monster have taken over Leicester city centre.

You are encouraged to grab a map and go on an exciting escapade where you will meet mischievous monsters in trees, on rooftops and playing peekaboo behind buildings.

The map can be downloaded here, or printed maps can also be found at various locations around the city including Visit Leicester Information Centre, Leicester Museum & Art Gallery, and Highcross Customer Service Desk.

There will also be an activity pack so children can keep busy with a monster quiz, colouring-in, a maze and much more.

Here are the monsters, who also glow in the dark, so if you do visit in the evening, be sure to take some photos in all their luminous glory.
