A nineties boy band who made puffy white jackets a wardrobe staple is set to take Derby by storm this year.

East 17 who were one of the UK’s most popular boy bands in the 90s will be performing at Markeaton Park Derby at the Pride event in September.

It is thought more acts will be unveiled in the coming months.

The lads’ performance will be sure to attract fans of music ‘back then.’

To date, the Let It Rain and If You Ever hitmakers have released 18 top-20 singles and four top-10 albums.

Their biggest hit was Stay Another Day which scored the highly coveted UK Christmas number one in 1994.

'90s nostalgia'

Following Derby Pride's announcement, people couldn't wait to share their thoughts.

When is Derby Pride 2024?

Saturday, September 14 is the date for Derby Pride this year. 

The event is set to run from 12pm - 6pm and entry is free.
