Event organiser Boo The Bad Guy has curated the event which is being hosted at Dubrek Studios Derby in November.

The Flintstones and Honey I Blew Up The Kid will be shown for one very special evening.

The films will start with a showing of pre-recorded interviews with the acclaimed directors.

Brian Levant, whose other smash hit films include Jingle All The Way, and Beethoven, will be seen talking about his 1994 comedy classic The Flintstones.

Randal Kleiser, who is also director of the 1978 cult movie Grease will be seen speaking about his directorial feature.

Both directors will be interviewed by Will Bailey, the organiser behind Boo The Bad Guy.

Unlike a regular cinema where a limited food offering, usually popcorn and ice cream is available, hungry movie fans can tuck into fresh pizza, sink a pint (or two) and sip cocktails whilst watching the films.

There will also be entertainment including games, arts and crafts and more.

Will said: “There will be an interactive screening of these classic films along with prizes, games, fancy dress, quiz questions and more.

“I am also in the process of tracking down cast and crew for more exclusive videos.

“The events are like a ‘film podcast’ where you can see directors talk about their works.

“And this isn't a normal cinema night, you can sit back in silence and enjoy the movie, or by all means shout out your favourite lines, cheer a cheesy action scene or boo the bad guy!

“There's no obligation to get involved! Just have fun!

The evening could be a great trip down memory lane. Can you believe both films are over 30 years’ old?

Perhaps the films passed you by when they were first released, which could be a great way to watch them in their full cinematic glory on a large cinema screen.

The event will take place on Friday November 22 2024.

Doors open at 6pm and tickets cost £11 for the full evening that includes two film screenings.

Address: Dubrek Studios, 67 Bridge Street, Derby DE1 3LB
