It’s all happening in Derby where the city has an exciting 2024 calendar bursting with events and magical music gigs galore. 

Becky Hill, Tom Jones and Madness are set to headline the very first Derby Summer Sessions gig in July 2024.

Headliners at Summer Sessions Derby 2024

The music extravaganza will launch on Friday July 12, 2024, kicking off the three day concert with pop royalty and BRIT Award winning Becky Hill. 

The ‘Remember’ hitmaker whose collaboration with David Guetta saw her land a top 10 hit in UK charts in 2021, will be playing on Summer Sessions' first night at Derby's Markeaton Park venue.

Welsh legend Sir Tom Jones will captivate Derby on Saturday July 13. 

Music fans who have been enthralled by the Welsh singer for over six decades can expect belters such as ‘It’s Not Unusual,’ ‘She’s A Lady,’ and ‘Sexbomb.’

The world-class weekend of live music will see fans enjoy Madness on Sunday July 14. 

The iconic British band has been delighting fans since the late 70s with their infectious blend of ska, pop, and new wave.

Gabrielle is set to grace Saturday’s stage.

She emerged in the early 90s with her soulful voice and decade-defining hits such as ‘Dreams’ and ‘Out Of Reach.’

Rick Astley will play on Sunday’s stage.

He’s a global pop sensation whose era-defining classic ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ has topped charts the world over. 

The Lightning Seeds are also set to perform on the final day of the concert.

They are known for their melodic and cheerful indie pop who gifted the world with the iconic football anthem ‘Three Lions.’

Deco will also join the party, delivering 80s synth-speckled contemporary pop hits. 

Deco’s lead singer Max Kendall said: "Really excited to support music royalty Madness at Markeaton Park, which I grew up a 5-minute walk from.

“It's also where me and Lucy learnt to ride our bikes - one more quickly than the other! 

“It's going to be a bit of a full circle moment and we can't wait!”

Summer Sessions will take place from July 12 - 14, 2024.

Here is the line-up.

Friday July 12 - Becky Hill 

Saturday July 13 - Tom Jones, Gabrielle

Sunday July 14 - Madness, Rick Astley, Lightning Seeds, Deco

It will be held at Markeaton Park Derby DE22 4AA.

More travel information such as shuttle bus booking and car parking will be available nearer to the time.

Founded in 2013 by DF Concerts, Summer Sessions has become a popular live music series.

It has hosted concerts across the UK including Scotland, Glasgow and Edinburgh, and 2024 is the year Summer Sessions will make its Derby debut.
