Derby Summer Sessions 2024: Jax Jones and Caity Baser added to line up

One of the city’s highly anticipated concerts, Derby Summer Sessions has added more top talent to an already starry line-up. 

The new inclusions will enhance the stellar roster of performers set to grace the stage at Markeaton Park from July 12-14, 2024, joining the likes of Tom Jones, Madness and Rick Astley. 

Latest artists to join the bill at the inaugural TK Maxx presents Derby Summer Sessions music festival include Jax Jones and Caity Baser.

They will join headliner Becky Hill on July 12.

The Selecter and Kezia Gill will also join headliner Tom Jones on July 13 for what is expected to be an epic event and key highlight on Derby’s events calendar.

Becky Hill will kick off Derby Summer Sessions on Friday, July 12, joined by Jax Jones and Caity Baser. 

Jax Jones is a Brit Award, Grammy Award and Ivor Novello Award nominee, and a renowned British DJ, record producer and songwriter.

The All Day and Night hitmaker is celebrated for his fusion of house, dance-pop, and electronic music. 

He teased a collaboration with Take That which set tongues wagging on social media.

Who knows, if 'the lads' do turn up in Derby for a impromptu performance, could it be magic?

Jax's pioneering contributions to music include eight UK Top 10 singles and over 10 billion global audio streams.

Also joining the bill is Caity Baser, swiftly rising as one of the UK's most exciting pop phenomena and a BRIT Award nominee.

She is set to charm the audience with catchy tracks which includes Pretty Boys, and Feels This Good.

The concert is a real celebration of diverse talent from across the globe and ages. 

On Saturday, July 13, The Selecter and Kezia Gill will take to the stage at Markeaton Park, joining legendary Tom Jones. 

The Selecter, led by vocalist Pauline Black, are renowned figures in the 2 Tone ska revival movement, famed for their socially and politically conscious music, including hit On My Radio which showcases their blend of ska, punk, and reggae. 

Local Nottingham-based artist Kezia Gill, known for her voice of the blues, will also perform at the first-ever Derby Summer Sessions with hits like I’m Here and Whiskey Over Ice.

For the first time, TK Maxx will join Derby Summer Sessions as presenting partner, as part of a new agreement with Cuffe & Taylor shows across the country including Scarborough, Plymouth, Bedford and Southampton.
