The outfit specialises in skewering ‘bad films’ and encourage people to boo the bad guy, cheer a rubbish action scene, laugh in the face of horrendous acting, or just enjoy the film in silence.

Derby’s Coyote Ugly event has so many epic twists, we can barely contain ourselves.

We at Derby World love good Bottomless Brunches which are usually held in the daytime

However this one takes place in the evening, which is a rarity in itself.

Throw in karaoke, fancy dress, a fabulous chick flick, a film quiz, and you have the makings of the best night out ever.

The event is perfect for those who love laughing at terrible films.

The film will be introduced by the Notts Bad Movie Club team who also try to track down  cast and crew for an intro video, so viewers may be in for a special treat.

There will be Coyote Ugly-themed music before the film starts and Coyote Ugly quiz questions throughout the evening.

As it is an interactive screening, people can also play along with games throughout the event.

There will also be a prize for the best rubbish fancy dress.

When is it?

The event is set to take place on Friday March 22, 2024.

The venue is The Hideout Derby and things kick off from 7pm.

The beauty of this super accessible event is that you don’t have to get involved with all five aspects, if you don’t feel like it.

If dressing up as film characters is really not your thing, just pop along wearing jeans or your usual get-up.

If your singing is more like a symphony of screeching cats scraping their little paws across a chalkboard, don’t worry, you don’t have to open your mouth.

If you’re not a fan of Bottomless Brunch, then just pay to watch the movie.

How much does it cost?

This event is £8 per ticket for the film and karaoke.

If you wish to do Bottomless Brunch this will be an additional £29 which is payable on arrival and which goes directly to The Hideout.

Can't Fight the Moonlight

Coyote Ugly film has an IMDB rating of 5.7 / 10, which is not bad, but not necessarily very good either.

It is about a 21-year-old wannabe songwriter who moves to New York to make it big in the cut throat music business.

Her day job as barmaid at Coyote Ugly Bar and relationships she builds there, ultimately empowers to fulfil her dream.

If you haven’t seen the film, now could be a chance to join in the fun and enjoy a night of cinematic mayhem.
