Former Derby County player and manager Gary Rowett could be back in work, in the short term at least, as reports suggest he's being eyed up to take over a Championship club until the end of the season.
Birmingham City brought in Tony Mowbray to replace Wayne Rooney earlier this season but unfortunately has had to take a leave of absence having undergone a medical procedure.

Hide AdMowbray's assistant Mark Venus had been placed in interim charge during the manager' recovery, however the lift that had come from the initial change in management has since decimated and the Blues once again fund themselves sucked into a relegation battle, just outside of the bottom three on goal difference.
Birmingham's owners have reportedly since decided that a change is needed to stave off the threat of the drop down into League One and are turning to oen of their former bosses.
Rowett, who made over 100 appearances for the Rams and guided them as manager to the Championship Play-Offs in 2018 before leaving for Stoke City, has been out of work since leaving Millwall in October and is understood to be keen on taking over on a short-term basis at the club he was in charge of for two-and-a-half years before joining Derby in 2017.
