The Sheffield Star are exclusivley reporting that a medical is likely to take place towards the end of the week and the defender looks to have all but signed for the Owls.

Lowe made the move to the Steel City back in 2020 when they bought him for over £3 million from the Rams.

The left back is no stranger to playing for rivals as he made a loan move to Nottingham Forest in 2021.

There had been rumours that Lowe could have been linked with a possible move back to Pride Park this summer as the Rams are in desperate need of more depth at left back, however, it seems that Paul Warne will have to look elsewhere.

The former Ram was tipped to become a star defender after he had played for England at four different youth levels from U16s to U20s.

He broke into Derby’s first team and made nearly 50 appearances in black and white before he made the move to Sheffield United where he has had the chance to play Premier League football.

The transfer window is set to officially open on Friday and it seems that the Owls are already dipping into their pockets and adding new faces.
