Derby County may turn to the loan market to add to their squad before the start of the season.

Paul Warne has made it clear that the free agent and loan market will play a big part in Derby’s recruitment plan over the summer.

The Derby boss may decide to look at Premier League youngsters as to give the Rams’ squad a boost for the Championship next season.

With just 19 players currently under contract, Derby will need to make some significant moves before the start of the season.

Reported in Derbyshire Live, the Rams are rumoured to be interested in Liverpool midfielder Bobby Clark on a loan deal.

The 19 year-old centre midfielder has come through the academy at Anfield. Clark has made five Premier League appearances in his time at Liverpool so far so could do with more valuable experience such as at a Championship club.

Derby are also in desperate need of help in central midfield after the departures of Max Bird, Conor Hourihane, Korey Smith and Ebou Adams.

Furthermore, the squad is filled with a number of players that are over 30, so adding a bit of youth to the team wouldn’t do any harm.

Clark has never been out on loan and has only made appearances either for Liverpool’s first team or youth teams - the experience could be invaluable for the 19 year-old.
