Josh Vickers may not be enough for Paul Warne in the Championship and so the Rams are looking to add another shot stopper during the summer.

They have already been linked with former Brighton keeper Matthew Ryan, and are now linked to Leicester City man Daniel Iversen.

According to the Sun’s journalist Alan Nixon, the Rams could make a move to sign Iversen on loan.

He spent last season on loan at Championship side Stoke City and has also had a loan spell at Preston North End too, so a move to Derby would certainly be realistic.

Iversen made 17 Premier League appearances for the Foxes but has played the most games for Preston (71), where he has made 23 clean sheets.

The 26 year-old has also played for the Denmark national team at youth levels from U16s to U21s but is yet to earn a cap for the main side.

He would be a solid option for the Rams who need another reliable Championship-level goalkeeper to compete with Josh Vickers for the number one spot.

Last season Joe Wildsmith was a star for Derby and has left a big void at the back. He won the golden glove in League One last season and was one of the big reasons why Paul Warne’s side earnt promotion.

However, he declined a new deal at Pride Park due to the fact that Paul Warne had made the keeper spot a competition with Josh Vickers.

Iversen would help to replace the void that Wildsmith left behind.
