However as the Rams only added him on loan, Adams is now back at Cardiff City and ready to begin pre-season training.

His future at Cardiff is uncertain, but now that he has returned to train with the Bluebirds, it should look more clear soon.

Wales online reported: "Summer is over for Cardiff players, who are back in for the start of pre-season tomorrow.

"The Bluebirds players and coaching staff jetted all around the world on their summer vacations, however tomorrow the grind begins as testing is carried out.

“It will also provide more clarity with players, many of whom are returning from loans or perhaps have their future up in the air with regards to sales or loan exits.

“This week will represent an opportunity for many to have contact time with Bulut and the coaching staff for the first time since the end of last season.”

If Bulut decides that Adams is available for transfer, the there is no doubt that the Rams will enter into quick contract negotiations.

He made 17 appearances for Derby scoing one goal and recording one assist.
