Both Peterborough United and Charlton Athletic are also showing interest in the midfielder

Coventry, 23, plays in centre midfield and has had previous League One experience on loan at both Lincoln City and MK Dons.

He came through in West Ham's academy but has not been able to break into the first team.

According to Sunday Mirror Journalist Darren Witcoop on X, the Rams are chasing the midfielder alongside League One rivals Peterborough United and Charlton Athletic.

Derby would be a favourable destination for Coventry alongside Peterborough as the two sides are locked in a tight promotion battle which could lead to one or both teams playing in the Championship next season.

The 23 year-old is the record holder for the most appearances for Ireland's U21s side with 28. He has scored three goals for the national team, which is impressive considering he is a more defensivley-minded centre midfielder.

With the threat of losing Louie Sibley and possibly Max Bird, Paul Warne will be keen to add to the Rams midfield and Coventry would be a great addition as he looks to prepare his side for a promotion push.
