This is why Derby is such a great destination for a city break

'We have so much to see and do in the city'

A new campaign has been launched to encourage visitors to choose Derby for a short break.

Visit Peak District, Derbyshire and Derby launched its Take a Peak drive at the start of this month.

The campaign was officially launched by Councillor Nadine Peatfield, deputy leader of Derby City Council and cabinet member for city centre, regeneration, culture and tourism, who said: "I'm delighted to launch this new initiative to bring more visitors to Derby.

"Our businesses are still recovering post Covid and increasing footfall has to be a high priority.

"We have so much to see and do in the city and the Take a Peak campaign really brings that into focus."

As part of the initiative, six key themes are promoted as drivers for booking a short break in Derby - take a look at them below.
