Coronation fever is set to sweep the country

Across the nation, communities are gearing up to celebrate the coronation of King Charles and the Queen Consort - and Derby is no exception.

The coronation will take place on Saturday - and over the long weekend, plenty of street parties will be taking place across the city.

Derby City Council has provided the below list with details about those street parties.

Saturday

Sunday

  • Fiskerton Way, Oakwood
  • Middleton Avenue, Littleover
  • Rannoch Close, Spondon
  • Spinney Road, Chaddesden
  • Woodland Road, Allestree
  • Bannels Avenue, Littleover
  • Edmund Road, Spondon
  • Oxford Street, Spondon
  • Rykneld Way, Littleover

Coronation big picnic

According to the council, the Abbey Ward Coronation Big Picnic will be held at Stockbrook Park at 2pm on Saturday.

And in partnership with Royal Crown Derby and Spiral Arts, Derby Libraries will be hosting a number of plate decorating workshops. 

These events are free to attend but booking is essential.
