The stores in question, JD, New Look and Ann Summers, will move to their new premises later this year, following a combined investment of more than £5 million.

JD will more than double the size of its existing 9,397 sq ft presence at Derbion with a new 20,175 sq ft store opening at the end of the year.

The flagship store on level two will see New Look and Ann Summers relocate to new locations in the centre.

New Look, which has had a store at Derbion since the shopping centre opened in 2007, will be moving to the former Sports Direct store within the centre on level one.

The new 10,000 sq ft store, featuring more than 915 womenswear brands, is set to open in the autumn.

Ann Summers, meanwhile, will be moving into the vacant unit next to Footasylum on level two.

A Derbion spokesperson said: “The investment forms part of Derbion’s continuing growth strategy to reposition and support both existing retailers alongside new lettings.

“By actively managing the centre, Derbion has unlocked space to ensure brands benefit from the optimum footprint and location to drive footfall and sales.”
