Owners have teased their food offering, saying ‘comfort dishes with a gourmet twist’ will be on the menu

Derby city’s dining scene is about to get a whole lot more exciting as a new restaurant readies for a summer launch. 

The Nines on London Road is set to open soon, with a culinary star at its kitchen helm.

Maurizio Ferraiuolo, who is a guest judge on MasterChef Malaysia and said to be a personal chef for a number of celebrities will be in charge of The Nines kitchen.

The menu is in the stages of being finalised, however looking at the restaurant’s social media pages, we can get a flavour of what to expect.

Coffees such as espressos and lattes, plus eggs benedict will be part of a tasty breakfast offering.

Loaded bao buns, sliders and seasoned fries will form part of the lunch service.

Chocolate drizzled desserts mean there will be something for sweet toothed fans.

DerbyWorld visited for a sneak peek and were wowed by the luxe, high-end vibe of what has currently been installed.

That includes copper textured fixtures and striking feature walls.

Writing on a social post, The Nines’ owners said: ‘From the intricate tiling to the fine-tuning of electrics, every detail is carefully crafted to ensure The Nines sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience.

Excitement is building as people commented with positive words of encouragement. One fan wrote online: ‘So happy this is all coming together, can’t wait to come up and see it!’ while another said: ‘So good! So excited to check the place out!”
