Birds Bakery's new cappuccino cupcake is giving us life

New year, new you? Pffft, we prefer the saying "New year, new cupcake!" And that's exactly what Birds Bakery is delivering this festive season.

The award-winning bakery chain based in Derby has this week announced the arrival of its brand new cappuccino cupcake - and we think it looks incredible.

The light and fluffy cupcake is topped with a thick, coffee frosting and a mini lotus biscuit, making it the perfect teatime (of coffee break) treat!

Birds Bakery shared its latest creation on its social media channels this week, and the tasty morsel was met with rapturous applause from customers, who are desperate to try it.

One customer named Lynne Hope wrote on Facebook: "I have got to try this."

While Christine Cross said: "Please say you send them by post!"

We're not sure if its the combination of the gold cupcake case and the caramel coloured frosting or the addition of the little Lotus biscuit, that really sells this cupcake but what we do know is, we cannot wait to try it!
