A Derby based bakery has commemorated Earth Day by releasing a range of scrumptious chocolates.

Birds Bakery dropped a Behind The Scenes teaser video showing how they make mini chocolate animals from Belgian chocolate.

They are set to be a hit with people of all ages and cost £5 for a pack containing three small chocolate figurines.

Not only are they made from Belgian chocolate, appealing to chocolate connoisseurs, they also aim to raise awareness of the importance of Earth Day.

Birds Bakery’s video shows luxurious chocolate being hand-piped into moulds and transferred on a revolving wheel.

The end shot - which sure made us hungry - is a tasty line-up of chocolates in the shape of small cats, dogs, bears, tigers and lions.

The range is perfect for those who want a sweet treat without having to crack open a full box of chocolates.

It is also a cute gift - if you can ‘bear’ to give them away!

The video has garnered numerous likes and comments across social media.

What is Earth Day 2024

It is an annual event on April 22, often running the entire week, which aims to highlight environmental protection.

This year’s theme is Planet vs. Plastics and a commitment to reduce plastic usage "for the sake of human and planetary health."
