Two Derbyshire gastropubs have been named among the top 50 in the UK. 

The Pack Horse in Hayfield and The Duncombe Arms in Ellastone, near Ashbourne, have both been included in the 2024 Estrella Damm gastropub rankings.

Both pubs’ position on the list will be revealed at a ceremony in January next year. 

The coveted Estrella Damm list, now in its 15th year, ranks the UK’s best gastropubs according to the votes from more than 400 gastropub owners, food critics and other industry experts.

Located in the heart of the Peak District, The Pack Horse has an impressive 4.5/5 TripAdvisor rating and is also recommended by the Michelin Guide. 

The Duncombe Arms, meanwhile, is described by Estrella Damm judges as a great place for “classic and modern British food of fine-dining quality in warm and relaxed surroundings”.
