A bookshop has come up with an adorable idea to help Derby bibliophiles expand their reading list.
Eagle Books, in East Street, which sells new and second-hand books, puzzles, and magazines, has started a sweet new scheme that allows customers to go on a blind date with a book.

Hide AdCustomers can purchase a book without seeing the cover or reading the blurb. Each book is wrapped up and has a gift tag with clues that allude to the story's plot.
2023 titles will cost you £8 and can be identified by their larger gift tag while discounted (and presumably slightly older) books will cost you just £4.
The idea has been a hit with customers on social media who have hailed it "brilliant, clever, and fantastic".
Head to Eagle Books now, to get your hands on an anonymous book, and see if you fall in love.
